Role

ZettaServe has a position for a Desktop SOE Architect with well developed consulting experience at mid to high levels of IT management.

This is your opportunity to join the ZettaServe desktop management consulting team in the provision of premium SOE design and consulting services to our predominantly blue-chip corporate and government clients.

Please note that the focus and experience required for this position are centred around design rather than SOE rollout.

Work Skills Required

• Designing SOE infrastructure (hardware, desktop and server components) using industry best practice standards
• Consulting with clients to determine the best SOE solution for their current situation
• Liaising with clients and SOE deployment teams to see SOE projects through from design to completion
• Excellent technical documentation skills
• Ability to work autonomously at client sites
• Strong work ethic and initiative

Experience

Successful candidates will have 5-10 years of experience working independently on previous SOE design projects.

Experience in the following technologies is essential:

• Microsoft Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 automated installs
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2003/2000
• Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy (including software deployment)
• Microsoft RIS/WDS
• Windows Installer (MSI) application package deployment
• Desktop LAN/WAN networking

Experience in the design and usage of at least one of the following SOE/Desktop Management technologies is also considered essential:

• Microsoft SCCM/SMS
• Novell ZENworks
• ManageSoft / Flexera
• Altiris

Advance Standing will be granted to applicants in possession of one or more of the following:

• Relevant University IT Degree
• MCSE Certification
• CCNA
• ITIL Certification
