ZettaServe Completes Transition for Department of Housing (WA)

PERTH, WA, 22 January, 2010 – Information and Communications Technology (ICT) service provider ZettaServe announces the completion of the Novell ZENworks to Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 transition project for the Department of Housing (WA).

ZettaServe tendered for the project to replace the Department of Housing’s primary desktop management tool by implementing Microsoft's System Centre Configuration Manager 2007.

The Department of Housing (WA) awarded ZettaServe with the work to remove the Novell ZENworks infrastructure from its desktop environment.

Mr. Mark Vassallo, Manager of WA ICT Services said, “The migration was planned over a series of weeks targeting specific housing sites using SCCM subnet based collection management. This project has simplified their environment onto a standard centralised toolset and allowed them to maximise the value of their volume licensing agreement with Microsoft.”

Since 2004, ZettaServe has enjoyed a mutually rewarding partnership with The Department of Housing, helping them to meet the challenges faced with successful ICT management.

Some 1600 machines later the Department of Housing (WA) taken another step closer to becoming one of the more progressive departments in the WA Government.
